My 1998 renault megance scenic battery is dead I dont know how to jump start it

Hiya i have an 1.6 r plate reanult megane scenic petrol manual it died today definitely the battery but its totally flat ive noticed the battery is under the driver seat how on earth do i charge the battery

    If you open the bonnet, you’ll find a positive terminal on a cable with a red ‘plus’ sign on it. Connect your positive lead to this, and your negative to the lifting hook on the engine or an exposed piece of metalwork in the engine bay.
    Check your handbook if you’re unsure.
